Kelly Rowland is finally admitting to what many suspected all along: She’s jealous of her former Destiny’s Child group mate, Beyonce Knowles.

In an emotional new track titled, “Dirty Laundry,” Rowland airs her own, singing about difficulty of watching her best friend, Beyonce, become a superstar while her own career stalled.

In one lyric, Rowland sings:

“When my sister was on stage killin’ it like a (expletive)/ I was enraged, feelin’ it like a (expletive)/ Bird in a cage/ You would never know what I was dealin’ with/ Went our separate ways but I was happy she was killin’ it/ Bittersweet she was up, I was down/ No lie, I feel good for her but what do I do now? … Post-Survivor, she on fire/ Who wanna hear my (expletive)?”

Rowland also admits to being “battered” by a former boyfriend (whom she doesn’t name) and said the relationship left her depressed. The ex, she said, told her no one loved her — not even her mother or best friend — and at the time, it drove a wedge between the two.

The track, produced by The-Dream, will appear on Rowland’s upcoming album “Talk A Good Game.”

Destiny’s Child reunited in February during Beyonce’s Super Bowl halftime performance.

Rohan Marley, son of late reggae great Bob Marley and father to five of Lauryn Hill’s six children, says he will step up his parenting during her three-month jail stint.

Marley told TMZ, “I will be there for my kids.”

The pair’s children range from age 5 to 15.

Marley also said while he’s always been active in his children’s lives, he will put forth an extra effort while Hill serves out her prison sentence.

“I will be there even more while she is dealing with this … to make sure that everything is fine,” he told TMZ.

Hill, a South Orange resident, was sentenced last Monday to three months in jail for tax evasion.

On the eve of her sentencing she paid the more than $970,000 in back taxes and fines she owed.

Marley, 40, and Hill, 37, met in 1996.

They dated for 13 years but never married. Their relationship ended in 2009.

Hill recorded songs about two of her children with Marley, “To Zion” on her first solo effort, 1998′s “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” and “Selah” from the 2002 “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood” soundtrack.

Marley was most recently linked to Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana. He was engaged to her until their September 2012 break-up.

Over the weekend, Hill thanked her supporters via her Tumblr blog.

The music maven must turn herself in by July 8. Until then, she is free to perform as she will in a concert Tuesday, May 14 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn.

West Coast rap veteran Snoop Dogg can breathe a bit easier these days as new reports claim he has paid more than $500,000 to settle a tax bill.

TMZ broke the story that IRS slapped Snoop Lion (real name Calvin Broadus) with a massive tax lien.

Back in February, claiming he still owed back taxes for the years 2009 and 2011.

News in the street is that Snoop recently paid his debt in full of $546,270.29 to be exact, and the lien was released late last month.

Snoop recently made headlines for having police come through and nearly shutdown his “National Smoke Day” celebration.

“The Police tried to shut the party down. Then once I got there we had a conversation with the police and they allowed the party to continue, because it was a holiday; It was an international holiday – 4/20,” said Snoop.

“My partner pulled him [the police chief] to the side. He was a great, great chief and he was willing to understand. We just trying to party chief. We doing a millon other things, we just trying to smoke and have a good time. And the chief was like, ‘save me a couple of blizys and I’ll let y’all have your party.’ So we did that,” joked Snoop. Dancehall artiste DeMarco says he is all set to go to Africa this summer, according to PR.

The entertainer has been confirmed for four shows on the continent which will see him invading Kenya, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Guinea next month.

The trip will also denote DeMarco’s second time visiting the motherland following his inaugural visit last August to Ghana and Uganda.

During his previous stint, the Give Thanks For Life singer visited numerous radio and television stations, participated in a tree planting exercise and collaborated with multi-award winning international Ghanaian singer Samini.

The trip culminated with two shows in Dome, Ghana and Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, Uganda, with both concerts pulling a combined audience in excess of 50,000 patrons.

Prior to this summer’s African trip, DeMarco will also be breaking new ground in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), performing for the first time in the capital city of Dubai.

Other confirmed assignments include Bahamas, Bermuda, Washington DC, Atlanta and Toronto, Canada.

Meanwhile, locally, his latest single, Continue Whine, is now positioned at No.6 on the FIWI Choice Top 10 Video Chart show and made its debut on the HYPE-TV Top 20 Chart.

The singer is expected to release a number of new singles and videos in the coming weeks.

Dancehall artist Bugle is happy for his beautiful daughter with ex-girlfriend Raine Seville, but doesn’t feel the same about her raunchy photos with Konshens.

Bugle, who is a native of Portland, told local reporters that he grew up in Cooreville Gardens, Kingston 20, listening to the likes of Bob Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Stitchie and Papa San before launching his own musical career.

After those x-rated photos of Raine Seville and Konshens hit the net, a lot of dancehall fans were wondering where does Bugle fits into all of this drama.

In a recent interview, Bugle says he and Seville shares a child together but are no longer together.

“Our relationship produced a beautiful child ,Layla-Rei. Right now it doesn’t even matter why we split, we just did and we have moved on with our lives,” Bugle said.

In relation to Raine’s raunchy photos, Bugle says he wouldn’t want to see his daughter that way.

“Well, it’s not my style of music as you know, but I wish her all the best and hope it works out for her,” Bugle told sources.

“My problem with the pics is I wouldn’t want to see our daughter in pictures with a man holding on to her breasts. As a parent you have to set good examples.”

The entertainer says he tries to stay positive and true to his message.

“I stay positive by staying true to me and the people around me,” Bugle explains.

“I want to uplift and motivate and being explicit doesn’t achieve that for me. I definitely don’t knock dancehall or dancehall artistes … I do what I’m comfortable with.”

At the moment, Bugle is working on an upcoming album with Sly & Robbie due later this year.

Dancehall star Vybz Kartel is in high spirits and is focused on the journey ahead of him, according to sources.

Reports are that the artiste stated he wants his fans to know that he is physically okay and that he was never stabbed, kicked, punched or beaten nor did he try to commit suicide.

He continued in an alleged letter sent to a local media house that:

“Jail is undoubtedly, unquestionably the worst place to be on this planet called Earth, but as it relates to my encounters with the correctional officers at the institution, I have no complaints”.

It is said that the artiste stated he has received continued support from his parents and his common-law wife and baby mother during his ordeal. However, he remains rather disappointed with some of his former musical associates, including Popcaan and Tommy Lee.

According to the self-proclaimed world boss, the entertainer is in high spirits and is focused on the journey set before him courtesy of local authorities.

Kartel says he has received continued support from his parents and his common-law wife and babymother during his tribulation; however, he remains disappointed with some of his former musical associates.

“Despite being denied bail recently, and being betrayed by Popcaan and Tommy Lee whilst going through the darkest hour of my existence, I am unparalleled in my determination to remain positive. I do a lot of reading and writing and usually try to exercise.” he said.

His book, The Voice of The Jamaican Ghetto co-authored by Michael Dawson of People’s Telecom fame, received favourable feedback in places like Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Bulgaria, Chile and Amsterdam, and recently spiralled a debate from literature enthusiasts about whether it should be included in the CXC syllabus.

As a recording artiste, Vybz Kartel remains current and relevant in the dancehall genre, receiving the Artiste of the Year awards for both Youth View and Portmore Awards, respectively.

Kartel has been in custody since September 2011.

He and his co-accused are to return to the Home Circuit Court on May 27 when it is expected that their trial will begin.

According to Reuters, Justin Bieber and Usher have been named in a $10 million copyright infringement claim over Bieber’s 2010 record “Somebody to Love.”

The lawsuit was filed by R&B singer Devin Copeland and songwriter Mareio Overton last week in U.S. District Court in Virginia, accusing Usher of giving Bieber the record that they allegedly wrote.

According to Copeland and Overton, “Somebody To Love” shares the same title, time signature and beat as their original, as well as similar lyrics and chord progression.

Bieber’s version is credited to himself, songwriter Heather Bright and production team Stereotypes.

The song was reportedly recorded as a demo for Usher’s 2010 LP Raymond v. Raymond  before the Bieber-featured remix came to fruition.

“There is essentially a zero probability for the number of points of congruence between the two versions of ‘Somebody to Love,’” Copeland and Overton said in the lawsuit.

Justin Bieber and Usher have yet to comment on the matter.

It’s now one year and six months since dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel has been locked away behind bars for two murder charges related to the death of Clive “Lizard” Williams and Barrington “Bossie” Burton.

Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, returns to court on Wednesday, May 27 when his murder trial is expected to get underway.

However, will there be more delays in Vybz Kartel’s trial?

Could Vybz Kartel stay in lock up for another one and a half year?

Why is it taking so long to try a man who has been restrained from his liberty?

Let’s be real about it.

One year and six months is just too long to have a man who has not been convicted of any offence locked behind bars serving a sentence for which he has not been convicted.

Yes, I agree that murder is a serious allegation but the state has no business having a man locked behind bars for so long without conviction for the alleged offence.

The state needs to get on with it. Try him, convict or exonerate him.

Vybz Kartel was arrested in late September of 2011, in Kingston, Jamaica.

He was slapped with two murder charges related to the death of Clive “Lizard” Williams and Barrington “Bossie” Burton.

Authorities say they are in possession of video evidence linking Vybz Kartel and his co-accused to Williams’ murder.

Despite all the talks of evidence against the Jamaican entertainer, his team says the “Dancehall Hero” will not go down without a fight.
